Joaquín Phoenix's joker is the best that could have ever happened to DC movies. The character's complexity and the realistic approach to a disturbed, bullied, but good person, is such a powerful mix, that it will charm you Joaquín's versatility is at his peak... You could see the movie and never expect such complex character's twist, specially in the final part of the movie. To me, the picture as a whole is as realistic as it could be, filled with emotions and a sense of social injustice so amplified, that I won't be able to see the joker as a shallow villain ever again. PS:in not a fan of batman nor DC movies, but this?.. This movie really is inviting me to revisit it.
