Sci - fi, Wells and Speilberg/Cruise fan. Worst adaption to a classic ever made. Acting , special effects , theory were good. Whom ever wrote the script has no talent other than sell a propaganda sub plot of feminism to Spielberg. Possibly, Speilberg lost his touch, getting too old ? Retire.
