Recommended to me by a friend who has both written and produced many hit sci-fi/fantasy/comic book films and tv series, this is an impressive debut indy feature. The storytelling is amazing. Through dialogue, action, and two lengthy expositions which feel like the opposite of static scenes, the filmmakers build a taut narrative to an eerie, haunting and almost lyrical climax. They perfectly capture the ambience of a small Southwestern town and the feeling of that lonesome connection of late night radio. I watched it on my phone, but a bigger screen is recommended.
