This is an art film, not a high adventure action movie like the previews hint to or even like a similar old predecessor, Sword of the Valiant, 1984. The actors were good, the cinematography interesting, but the message dismal. As usual it points out all the inherent weakness of man and human nature, only there's nothing inspiring about it. Basically it was saying your only redemption comes from accepting how awful you are and how meaningless the things you place value on are, and then you die. It revolved around fear, uncertainty, how we lie to ourselves and others. It's not a feel good movie in any sense and due to some of the sex and violence, definitely not for children.
