Mt. Baldwin – Google

It's a masterpiece in every sense of the word. Also use your dang spirit summons. I see so many saying it's too hard and also see so many of these same people not using the games main mechanic. I never see anyone using item buffs either, another big mechanic in the game. Finally these same people all treat the games armor like it's cosmetic only, when it actually makes a huge difference between light and heavy armor. "No time to heal!" Yes if only there was some way to have something take the boss aggro, like a summons of some type... Even a scrub like me can do it when using all the tools the game gives you. If it's too hard and you're not using all of the games mechanics, then it's because you choose to make it too hard, this is on you, not the game.

Lives up to the enormous hype, belongs up there with Elden Ring in showing gaming at its very best. Playing on Xbox Series S, they did a good job with the controls and the graphics look good enough- if you chose a Series S you know what to expect. I used to be a dungeon master like 20 years ago (2.0 and 3.0), so I do have a base understanding of all the stuff in this game and how D&D works in general. This said, I do think they've done as good of a job as possible to make it accessible to newcomers to D&D. But there is a ton of stuff to learn, it is full D&D in digital form, so it has incredibly deep game mechanics.

Must have for JRPG fans. It's strange how this game is getting no attention among JRPG fans. No you don't need to have played any other monster hunter game to enjoy this one, it's set in a different time, place and culture (here your a monster rider, not a monster hunter). No don't need to have played the first one, this is a new story with new characters set 3 generations after he first. No it's not like the mainline monster hunter games, those are pure twitch reflex action games and this is a pure turn based rpg. It is the best turn based JRPG to come along in years, since at least trails of cold steel 3. It's combat system might be the best in a decade. It's got a very good crafting and loot system. The high light is the monster collecting and combining mechanic, highly addictive and fun.I's also a highly polished as far as the mechanics and gameplay go and packed full of details and features. If you like JRPGs and are not getting this you're doing yourself a disservice.

Genuinely think MH Rise will take it's place as the second best Switch game of all time, behind only Breath of the Wild. It has an addictive gameplay loop of hunt monster to get better gear to hunt tougher monsters backed up by solid mechanics and fun gameplay. No I'm not a monster hunter hardcore fan, the only other MH game I have is generations ultimate. I am a RPG hardcore fan and what sets this game apart is fun, I can't think of another RPG that was this much fun to play. Only criticism I have is the massive amount of tutorials and descriptions of all its many features right at the beginning. This is a common flaw in too many new RPG games though.
