The CGI was stunning and beautifully detailed and most of the voices were superb! Yet, because this IS Disney, who has ALL the resources in the world, I was incredibly disappointed. The camera angles and scenes had no feeling other than leftover nostalgia of the old animated movie. I wanted so bad to feel anything else for this film, but sadly only disappointment followed. The Lion King (2019) was always going to be worth billions of dollars due to the world’s old childhood memories and it’s fan base,
but because of that fact it seems as if the director and company put NO effort into the scenes, lighting, camera angles, or making the audience actually feel anything.
All in all: it was an okay try,
but it could have been a masterpiece.
