Amazing, first, honest, and non-sleep inducing motion interpretation of the epic novel Dune. The story is too big to tell in one showing and smartly is now is divided into 2 parts. For those new to the DUNE literature, filmography and background; the depth and complexity of the story is similar to The Lord of the Rings trilogy multiplied by 2. Make no mistake, 2021 Dune is serious storytelling. Even as a veteran of the franchise, ultimately, I had to view it twice to satisfy my brain. You neither have to have read the novel, nor have viewed the first David Lynch film to fully take in the magnificence of what I would call a masterpiece -- but you do have to pay attention. My CliffNotes like recommendation -- read Roger Ebert's review of the film first. Then, look up all the words and story specific vocabulary you don't understand from his review on Wikipedia. Once done, you will be fully ready to witness DUNE's full splendor.
