I just saw Peacock yesterday 3-19-24. I didn't know anything about Cillian Murphy until I saw Oppenheimer. Therefore, I wanted to see him in another role. His acting was amazing as he switched from the insecure John to the very secure and manipulative Emma. I was amazed at how beautiful Cillian was as a woman. Those high cheekbones were a real plus. His entire body language changed with each character. I felt his pain as John and knew he was an abused child, which many times manifests in multiple personalities as a defense mechanism. It was a sad story indeed. My interpretation of the end when you realize how dangerous Emma's personality is...She looks at all of the family photos and could have murdered her little boy along with Maggie. However, something clicks quickly for her and realizing how dangerous she truly is, makes sure that Maggie and Jake get out of the house, away from her...Her one redeeming act! Then she locks herself in the house and sits on the chair her mother sat on, shoes off. This part reminded me of movie "Psycho." Kudo's to Cillian Murphy!
