Just watched a very strange little movie The Sky's The Limit (1943) with Fred Astaire and Joan Leslie. I stuck with it for the full hour and a half because I'll watch anything with Fred Astaire in it. This was a seriously weak movie with one of the longest and most boring scenes I have ever seen in any film, where one of the supporting characters delivers a long and incompetent speech. There are only two dance scenes with Astaire and Leslie. There is a barroom scene where Astaire sings One More For My Baby and One More For The Road then busts up the barroom in a drunken rage. Apparently, this was the first appearance of this classic song - which makes it the most memorable feature of this very strange little movie.
