Movie Review: 4/5
Well firstly a big Thank You to Imtiaz Ali for introducing characters which are completely relatable and not idealistic. Relationships are never perfect and if there are then something is definitely wrong. The movie has Raghu, Zoe, Veer and Leena as their main characters. None of these characters are perfect. Yet again Imtiaz Ali has managed to impress us and reach to us. Zoe who is always confused and constantly tries to seek a balance between personal life and professional which I think is completely relatable in today's time. The constant dilemma you face everyday in a relationship. Raghu seems to be this perfect romantic guy who every girl wishes for but gradually you realise that perfection itself is a flawed idea. Veer in one word would be Kabir or Rumi. There is a lot to talk about Veer and other character but I think words will fall short. You'll just keep on exploring them. Leena's character is more of support system and a way which guides you. These characters are meant to be felt and can't be explained. Love Aaj Kal is a treat to watch. The movie is completely unpredictable and very much realistic. Every character is multi layered and that's the beauty of it. Imtiaz Ali does not justify its characters and they are unapologetic. Sara, Kartik, Randeep and Arushi have done superb job❤❤. I do not wanted to give out spoilers hence tried maintaining it. This movie deals with new age love, confusing nature, idealistic identity, and dismantles the idea of perfection, right and wrong. I have always been a Imtiaz Ali fan and he has just proved me right.
