not my cup of tea personally. i realized after the movie that i was almost misinformed maybe? the description for it on my streaming service lacked a whole lot of detail.
"a father and mother navigate raising a gender non-conforming child."
that's all the info i had.
honestly the movie didn't feel like it was about what it said. the parts i remember the best were the parts focusing on the parents relationship, school, and the moms pregnancy. they really only started to get to the child's gender identity at the halfway point of the movie.
these movies really aren't my thing so i don't know how dramas typically go. really i think that my dislike is only because of personal preference and a mistake on my part. guess since i didn't see it was a drama, my expectations went in a more lighthearted direction. at least the ending scene was pretty nice though.
honestly i don't think it's one i'd watch again but it probably want that bad.
