I think the direction given by the studios and writers were to make a dark batman origin movie, and the director took it, quite frankly, literally! The overall movie was a drag with thin plot line going on in circles. If the idea was to make an origin movie taking care of three villains in the first movie alone, well mission accomplished. There was nothing cool about Bruce Wayne, the supposedly play boy philanthropist, instead he look weird, quite frankly stalker type. When it came to batman, there was nothing cool there too, bat-mobile looked like it was won on pink slip on a quarter mile drag race and the bike was pretty unimpressive too. Character building was not good at all, except Mr. Falconi who showed a lot of poise and looked natural in a mobster running the town fashion. There was no real chemistry between Batman and Selina Kyle and the two kisses seemed to be put in as a necessity and not on characters' natural progression. In conclusion; the plot, the execution would have looked amazing if it was a 6 episode mini series instead of a supposedly big budget movie. .

For me movie is good enough if you hate, intimidated or irritated by the villain more than the protagonists themselves. Easily it's a sequel of T2, minus the BS of what happened in between.

Glad to report that movie lived up to the hype. Apart from not-so-befitting-Thanos killing at the first few minutes of the movie where Thor actually 'went for the head', the follow up story and the personification of the character seemed Marvelous. After watching it one truly feels like an end of a chapter in our lives, something nobody would have imagined when Iron Man (2008) came out, that the story and the concept itself will feel something like a real life event.
