Anyone wanting to get a sense of themselves in today’s society as part of a historical continuum will want to see this film. Sensitivity, attention to detail, great acting (well maybe not Hermione... God love her) , timeliness in terms of the womans’ movement, great adaptation from novel to screen, ... this is a movie that will stand the test of time. Get a sense of where we are in time and north American history, go see this quiet unassuming movie, it carries a big stick,! ( ok ok I’m a guy)

Thé merits of this movie hands down out distance the shortcomings. In our age where building relationships have few rules and are problematic for many of us, this movie makes us imagine about how things may work. As an educator charged with reaching out to young to people if I was to be able to teach them effectively, i particularly appreciated the portrayal of grandma’s building connection with the troubled connected teen. Bottom line: definitely worth seeing!
