This movie has several wonderful messages woven through out. The acting (especially Davison) was great, the storyline not too sappy, and it's one I watch each year

This story about a boys journey from political prison to family and freedom shows the latent mistrust of people because of cruelty, and the beginnings of learned trust because of good people. "Most people are good," says Sophia in the movie and that is right.
