To everyone who lived outside the Iron curtain this is a nice movie that brings back fond childhood memories and reminds us what it feels like to be like a child, however, for someone who lived in the times of Gorbachev, Brezhnev and Chruschev, it is a reinvetion and remake (in the bad sense) of a movie that gave us great joy and comfort in a country that did not. Not so nice that they did not try to shed more light on their eastern counterpart.
