A lot of fun to be had in the first two episodes of Birdgirl. So excited for the return of Paget Brewster as perhaps the most entertaining voice over performance in the 2000's onwards. Neither Paget nor Birdgirl has skipped a beat. She is such a joy in this show. Birdgirl keeps the constant wackiness and humor from Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law and the other original Adult Swim programs, while the extra time afforded by the half hour episodes also allows for some real moments to get to know Judy Ken Sebben, her motivations for being Birdgirl, and her friendship with Meredith the Mindtaker. The only downside is the lack of the Hanna-Barbera characters that were so much a part of Birdman but new creations like Dog in Bucket Hat keeps those characters spirits alive. Cannot wait for more Birdgirl and I hope it is a long lasting part of Adult Swim going forward. Judy and Birdgirl are worth our time.
