This picture book is based on a Japanese Hiku and translated to the voice of the hard-working overlooked Cicada. You are drawn in and empathise with him working long hours and not able to pay rent. He lives in the walls and doesn't get thanks from the Humans he works with. But in the end the insects will be laughing at humanity!
My kids get it and will look for the other poems it was based on.

Kids loved the bright colours, good interaction between friends and elders. Grand parents are lovely and very true to life representation. The pink bear is an invisible friend. Great problem solving and self awareness examples. Always apologises to friends in the end when in the wrong. Lovly manners!
