Great snapshot of partisan action against the 2nd SS panzer division in its journey towards the Normandy beach head after D-day. Hastings really captures the rich mixture of military effectiveness and mistakes that reflected the odd mix of Communist, SOE and OSS operations against German military targets in South-Central France after the Normandy landings.
