The CGI was amazing... Now the cons! If you like fergie's version of the national anthem, then beyonce's versions of the songs we love will satisfy your ears. It was an awkward balance of capturing the original film's feel and providing something new. There were anticlimactic moments, when memorable lines were spoken in monotone. The characters personalities of the original film was missing, from scar, zazu, rafiki, the hyenas... If the goal was to change the feel of the film, by making it more realistic, then the dialogue in the script should have been rewritten. In a nutshell, the kids were uninterested, and i found myself shaking my leg waiting for the final credits to roll.
