The visual narrative of the film consists of references to classical pieces of art, literature and theology. Zack Snyder opted to take a risk by changing the traditional way both Batman & Superman have been portrayed before, which is a brave attempt contrary to playing safe for generating greater box office revenues. A film that does not provide you with fun & amusing escapism, rather gives you a glimmer of the grim reality of the current world. A visual treat.
