Great read. I was thoroughly immersed in the narrative, and the changes in perspective of character was seamless. The plot was full of nooks and crannies to be uncovered, and all in all the book certainly kept me reading to see what would happen next.
During the book, I did crave more emotion and expression by the characters. I wish I could have seen more examples (than Bebe’s mournful breakdown) of an aggressive overflow of feelings- frustration, grief, anger, by Trip, Moody, Pearl. I wanted to see more of the sons’ reaction to the departure of the Warrens, seeing as they were both strongly attached to Pearl. Lexie too - she had such a sisterly bond with her and it was such a shame to see the lack of effect that Pearl’s absence had on them.
Maybe I misunderstood their relationships, but this whole issue left me slightly dissatisfied with the ending.
