Great British comedy. I loved the characters and humour. Filmed in Keighley up North. Showing off Sarah, Josh Hartnett, Alan Rickman, and Bill Nighy. Blow Dry opens with the announcement that Keighley will host the 2000 British Hair Championships. Although set in the town, the film was shot mainly in Batley.

The cast took on a different perspective in the interpretation of their roles bringing new channels of understanding. Some say it was slow but I disagree. Knowing the story so well and why Jesus came, gave me time to appreciate the depth those around him might have given. The pace allowed the watcher to dive deep into the Gospels. Giving humankind a twist on redemption and forgiveness. Jesus was counter cultural. His mission was of love and equality. The first witness to who he was at the well - the Samaritan woman. Not a man....
