Such a pretty movie!! I love how they handled the romance aspect, and especially the "sex" scene (its not explicit at all). It all felt like it was being treated with such care and tenderness, especially given how young and inexperienced the characters are, which is rare to find with wlw films. Same goes for the depiction/discussion of suicide which isn't overly graphic but still emotionally impactful. definitely recommend :)

This show does a really solid job of balancing the (honestly pretty ridiculous) premise and the relentlessly heavy social/emotional issues. On the surface it’s seems like lord of the flies x euphoria, but it actually manages to hold its own, due in no small part to incredible performances from basically every single member of the main cast. I’ll admit it- I stayed up till 3:00am to finish the season in one night, and I cannot wait to find out what season 2 will bring!
