I see so many people talking badly about this show, but I think it's amazing! I am so sad the 5th season is the last season! We get a star trek with amazing CGI and the storylines are good and heartfelt. I've never cried as much with any star trek series as I have with this one. I've watched it every week as it came out and I recently binged Seasons 1-4 over a couple weeks and watching each episode back to back was SO much more enjoyable. I liked it so much better the second time around. The older series could pull off weekly episode airings because they were mostly stand alone stories/plots per episode. The 'magic' of these new star treks are ruined by weekly episode drops (minus Strange New Worlds - I actually think that show is made well for weekly airings and it works). I really wish they'd drop at least half a season at a time instead of one per week. Anyone who doesnt like it and watched it weekly like I did, give it a second chance watching the episodes back to back. I promise it'll improve your opinion of this series! I should also point out (for credibility) that I am a massive Trekkie and I have an annual rewatching of all the older series which usually last from January - April lol. I am not leaving this review lightly!

What an amazing show! I am a HUGE Star Trek nerd and I look so forward to watching this show every week! Like Star Trek this is a show that doesn't get old re-watching as well. (Dare I say it...) part of me likes some of the aspects of this show better than Star Trek itself. The humor in it is perfect and as I'm sure a lot of fans know that sometimes Star Trek can take itself a little too seriously. When I first started watching this I was expecting a funny star trek spoof but wow does it really hold it's own. The characters and storylines/writing are engaging, hilarious, powerful, sentimental, and meaningful all at once. The space battle scenes are also pretty epic and I have caught myself rewinding several times to watch a good battle scene over again! Basically if you love Star Trek you're going to love this show. You can tell Seth MacFarlane and the writers are fans (you can find him in Enterprise as Rivers for 2 episodes!) and he really does Star Trek fans justice with this show! Also it should be mentioned that New Horizons (season 3) is in my opinion the best season by far and just totally different from the first two seasons. The longer episodes of this season really make you dive into the different storylines and are like movies more than episodes. I've been blown away at the quality of this new season and pleasantly surprised at how they have made the show even better than before.

Amazing first episode! Can't wait to watch the rest of the season! I'm a huge star trek fan and had been waiting for this show to premiere since they first announced it. They have done everything right so far. Picard was by far the best captain they could have picked to center a new series around. The storyline is new and exciting yet nostalgic and touches on events from TNG. I recommend watching that series first as you will have a better understanding of the characters and some of the things taking place, but you definitely don't have to. The major story line is something that is new and not from the older series. So excited to see what's to come! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
