Albert Mason

As I watched this film I realized that I could not recommend it for many of my friends. This film is eccentric, witty, kinky, sexy, dark, and engrossing. The lighting, sound, costuming, and music were much the same. It is rather obvious that the film is not historically accurate as it never intended to be so. But it was a great piece of storytelling about ruthless ambition and survival in the context of sex and politics. It was far more interesting and engrossing than say "House of Cards." Do not see this movie if you are expecting a version of "The Crown." Do see it if you occasionally would like to see risky, risqué filmmaking with some truly off-the-wall scenes and some great female performances.
