I hardly think of Metropolitan Opera Live in HD as television. These productions have given me the opportunity to view operas I would never have seen living 180 miles from a major opera company. I have attended almost all of the productions shown and some twice. I look forward to the season and am very pleased with the new musical director. I have already seen him lead several productions. I feel that he is an outstanding choice to lead the Met. Yes, it is better to see the live production but Met Opera in HD gives me the opportunity to enjoy Grand Opera at its grandest. I am grateful.
