An hour and over a half for trash flashbacks that still don't fit the story line, an irredeemable town that can't get right in over 40 years, and a family that is related to the killer without his abilities. If you were gonna make another Jason movie then just do that. If Michael is unkillable then let's get that in in the first 15 to 20 minutes of the movie and that will be that. Then the rest of the movie can be kills. The movie is another movie on the rocks that just gives the conclusion they gave away in the trailer. If he's like Jason then that's it we can do kills. What in the world do we need Hawkins and Laurie Strode to have a relationship for to sum that up. Why is Tommy necessary? Why is Karen now more important than Laurie and she gets killed? Why did the town get together and kill the wrong guy? What is this movie even?

Russel Crowe did a great job. The way they wrote the female lead to be is the problem with this movie. I personally believe an older actress and more realistic decisions would trumped by either the psycho or a partner would have made the movie an easier pill to swallow. But the consistently bad choices they wrote for her ruins the effort of Russel Crowe's character. This movie could easily be 2 hours long with more background about the family and her job and the divorce. And more background about his life leading up to his mental breakdown. Maybe showing the dispute but going back to a few months early to show why this is happening. Doing parallel scenes to show why he related this particular woman to his ex wife. Just an opinion.

I loved it. Definitely gonna watch it over and over again. And the music is up there with some Disney movies.
