I hate it. I've been re-reading the books for nearly 40 years and they are so heartwarming, this series is not. Mrs Hall is too young and putting her twopenneth into every aspect of her employers life would not have been acceptable in the 1930s, Helen is too loud and aggressive not the gentle country girl she was, every client has been rude and illmannered which was so not the case. As a born and bred Yorkshirewomen I feel it portrays us badly. Love the cars and scenery though.
