People think The last of us 1 was written by a different person. They’re both written by the same person. They also seem to forget that this game takes place in a dark universe with evil people everywhere. This isn’t some Disney happy story. It never was meant to be, and even Joel says stuff like that in the first game about “getting killed” and running out of luck someday. People are just mad for childish thinking reasons. The gameplay is amazing, graphics are solid, and to me the story is dark and is close to reality than any game I’ve ever played. There are consequences to everything you do in the real world. Apparently people don’t understand that.
