Beautiful moments , poignant and funny, this mini series had me sitting on the edge of my seat with a tight knot in my chest with excitement, fear and compassion for Beth Harmon (Ann-Taylor-Joy).
Her mother Alma Wheatley (Marielle Heller) plays a character who is endearing and loving. She made me dance with joy at her free spiritedness and the beautiful relationship she shared with her daughter Beth.
The dialogues were so empowering and uplifting. Even when Beth was at her lowest, there was a life lesson to learn from it.
Loved her friends Benny and Harry. Friends like them are blessings in ones life.
And last but not the least, the short but powerful role of her friend from the orphanage, Jolene, who is her mirror of truth and her strongest support.
So touching, utterly delicate and a must watch.
Left me feeling empty after it ended as I wanted to watch a little bit more.
Highly recommended. It’s one of the best series on Netflix, in 2020.
