This game told an incredible and complex story about rage, revenge, and how that can destroy people. I was beyond amazed by the story this game told, and the way it told it. The way this story was told was so wonderfully unique to the format of a video game, I’ve never experienced a story told in quite this way before. It was a marvel. The acting was incredible. The story was well-written, complex, and gut-wrenching to say the least.
The internet exploded with hate towards this game. I couldn’t understand why. I finished the game. And I still couldn’t understand. The conclusion that I have come to is this: the folks who scream their hatred at this game, its actors and its creators, are either generally rude people (i.e. the people screaming transphobic, homophobic, and misogynist hate) or they're people who simply got too attached to the first game and those main characters.
Bottom line is this: this was an incredible story full of emotion and pain and complexities. I loved it. It made me FEEL.
