LONG STORY SHORT: IF YOU'RE NOT A FIRST TIME WATCHER TO KDRAMAS, THIS IS NOT FOR U Not really what I was looking for when trying to relive the Strong Girl Bong Soon era, and I know there's things out there that cannot be remade, but they should at least try. The major problem was the childish behavior Namsoon was emitting, like regressed. I know she went through a rough time during her childhood by losing her parents and such, could psychologically regress her under certain circumstances, but they didn't think like that. She was raised in rural Mongolia, I can't imagine that the amount of sheep herding and outside experiences she has would result in her blubbering like a little baby in Korea. I noticed it was too much infantilization of her character from the way she dressed, how she cut her hair, and the way she kept inflating her cheeks. Her innocence can be played off without making her into a total baby with absolutely no backbone. She was all tough and mature right before she stepped foot onto Korean soil. I skipped the whole first 4 episodes just to satisfy the urge to see her get reunited. Her mom on the other hand was a good actress, very different from what most mothers are in kdramas I feel. Who knew? All the side characters were disregarded, and did not care whatsoever, the underlying drug ring was nothing important. Romance wasn't important. Nothing about it was important or wow to me. The villain was hot.

This show was my backbone growing up, just listening to the songs again and thinking about how great of a time it was in 2006...kinda makes me feel brokenhearted. I'm going to start my twenties next year and I feel like this show was a beautifully produced show and one of Noggin's best shows. Especially since nowadays Backyardigans have been recognized with its good songs. I *will* be listening to them! They bring peace to me and sending me back to those years again when I need it.

This show was my *main* when I spent summers with my grandma when my mom worked. It actually made me really good at anagrams and crosswords as I got older. Something about visualizing words and creating them really stuck with me, the show was just ok and interesting to watch.

I always confused this show with OOBI for some reason but this show really imprinted into my mind when I was little. It used to play later in the night, so I knew I stayed awake too long once I saw Shane. It was one of the most interesting shows I've ever watched and it makes me incredibly nostalgic when seeing its episodes again. Hopefully, there is a revival for new and impressive creators/actors for children shows so that my children can enjoy what I enjoyed too. I sound old haha, but it's true. Turning 20 next year and revisiting these old children's tv shows has given me perspective on how they defined a new generation.
