I loved the children actors in the film; living in poverty ,but they made the best of it. Showcasing kids imagination. The film is a harsh reality of poverty stricken single motherhood of America today.... brought back memories of my own disfunctional mother and my childhood. I could relate to the kids characters a lot and I’m nearly 50 now. Sadly no matter how messed up our mothers may have been we always loved them despite their flaws, in as such we wouldn’t want to be separated from them, even if it meant a better life.
