It's a comedy about a butter sculpting contest between a stereotyped conservative white woman and a talented little black foster girl placed with a more down to earth white couple in Iowa. The conservative woman is willing to lie and cheat to win, but couldn't win against the obviously talented child. After losing the woman decides to run for governor, another liar and cheater in politics. I think the movie was hilarious and the characters were well portrayed. I liked it.

I loved the movie, both Hellen Mirren and Ian Mckellan are great, the performance of Hellen as Betty is a little plasticky at the beginning, but that's exactly the point, she was "pretending" to be plain Betty, when at the end she outsmarted Roy the con, and she ends up being the good liar. She lived a good life despite all the damage Roy caused to her family, and vengeance is a dish best served cold.
