I bought this book last month and have so far only made it through the first 30-40 pages, it is full of exercises and advice that has helped me improve my writing style to adapt to an editor's needs. Susan has a track record of teaching in a way that gets her students published, which is exactly why someone had recommended to me years ago that I take one of her classes when I had started writing. But due to geographical circumstances, with me being in a different country, it was impossible to do so. Having this book is the closest thing to those classes as I embark on a new journey of personal essays and op-eds for the first time, moving away from news and reported features, hence I can't wait to learn from the best!
