I never normally do game reviews but I have to for this. I’m a big fan of fifa, played a lot of it over the years but this game is such a let down. The graphics are decent especially on the new console, however, the gameplay is awful. I’ve only played FUT so far, and although not being like a Messi superstar playing it I tend to be quite decent most of the time, but this gameplay is just shocking. Firstly, the fact that the goal keepers are ridiculously overpowered, or, if it’s your own keeper, shockingly awful. They never catch a ball, they throw their hands up and let it bounce away, normally letting the opposite team get a goal. Or if you strike a ball, no matter how close, it goes right to their hands, no curve whatsoever even with a finesse shot. The defending is awful, defenders don’t mark any players and just swarm to one player leaving the whole defence open. player ratings seem to mean nothing these days, you’re better off having a whole team of 82 rated players and saving your in game money because even the higher rated strikers can’t put a ball in the net half the time. THE THROUGH BALLS ARE THE WORST. You’ll be doing your opponent a favour by playing a through ball, normally goes to anyone other than your own players. Oh - and if your player gets tackled, he spends about 15 minutes falling/getting back up, ruining any chance of attacking once you’ve broken through. My opinion, Fifa 21 is far better than fifa 22, I’m going to keep playing obviously, it’s as addictive as meth, but Jesus, overall a very poor game in my opinion.
