I like this show & I will continue watching, but so far it’s lacking the magic of SOA.
SOA based itself around the family unit & had strong characters - characters you cared about.
I haven’t seen that yet with Mayans, but the first season usually just introduces the characters, it doesn’t spend much time going Deep with them.
S2 should start going deeper with the characters & giving us a reason to care about them.
