There were a few things that were good about this movie but there were just so many problems with it. (Spoilers here) Palpatine returning makes the sacrifice Anakin/Darth Vader took in Episode 6 irrelevant and begs the question of what was the importance of Snoke really. Rey as not lost a fight at all, which makes the stakes be less on her part. Finn is back to just screaming Rey’s name every few minutes and sidelined again. A lot of retcon from the previous movie (despite not liking TLJ, at the very least keep the story consistent.). The traveling in this movie was inconsistent, characters would appear in one place faster than they should. There was so much going on, it felt like everything was being thrown at you at once. They reylo kiss was completely out of nowhere and felt forced. Poe was a hot headed person for no reason other than trying to give rey some character development when in fact it just dragged the plot a bit. Palpatine losing to rey, makes the whole Anakin being the one to bring balance to the force irrelevant and proves once again she is still a mary sue (an overpowered character). It honestly makes the other movies irrelevant for the most part since A. Makes all the effort to defeat the empire pointless in the original trilogy and B. The fact that Luke, Mace windu, yoda, and even Anakin couldn’t defeat Palpatine yet Rey could proves even more how broken of a character Rey is (just because she is a Palpatine is not an excuse to say why she is powerful since in both legends and canon darth sidious needed training to be as powerful as he is now). The force powers are too convenient and broken such as telephoning between Rey and Kylo and force healing. Lastly, the movie was honestly predictable, like how rey is a Palpatine was predictable, the reylo kiss, chewie not actually being dead, and the general having been the spy. The few good things is the fan service it gives off, the leia scenes were very impressive considering that Carrie fisher is gone (may she Rest In Peace), the space battle at the end was amazing, and the one lightsaber fight On the death star was pretty descent.

After waiting for so long for this game, there are a lot of thoughts I have. Yes the game suffers a bit from the tell instead of show, pacing issues, and no Final Fantasy characters but other than that it was a good conclusion and can't wait to see what comes next in the next game.
