Gripping melodrama about a seemingly normal control freak who falls in love with a scatterbrained but charming woman then decides he needs to "protect" her with some predictable and some not so predictable consequences. Reminds me of Woody Allen

This is far and away the most interesting and well directed film since Django Unchained. It upends some Western tropes and makes a good case for Jonny Greenwood as one of the best musical composers not just in Pop but movies as well. Cumberbatch is brilliant as is the guy who plays the Son of the woman who plays the lead. The names escape me...must see viewing. By far the best film of 2021.

This is some of the worst television in recent memory. It makes Jersey Shore seem lively. I cannot imagine anyone wanting to inflict the inane lives of the fatuous and good looking British middle class on anyone other than the most bored vacant fools.

In spite of being made in 2003 this feels like a story from 1990 when new tech was impressive to people in and of itself. Times change and the story feels dated.

Utterly absurd and almost plot less action movie. After an hour of car crashes and ridiculous all over the place scenes with nothing left to the imagination I stopped watching and wondered who this rubbish was aimed at.. I hope the new Top Gun is a winner because this wasn't.

Initially interesting but overlong exploration of the people investigating the death of a Baltimore Sister at a Catholic girl's school. Marred by schmaltzy music and in need of a savage editing with inane shots of snow and rooftops that served to fill space rather than ad to the story I found myself skipping two episodes and racing to the conclusion at breakneck speed. What has happened to American storytelling? This could have made a good 90 minute doco.

A film that didn't work as comedy satire or drama. Truly a symptom of the cancer that is American cinema. Almost completely irrelevant and a sign that Spike Lee has no idea how to make movies. From She's Gotta Have It to this completely unaffecting pile of codswollop it's time for Lee to give up and maybe take up painting or something else. Do what Julian Schnabel did and change careers. Go watch Mississippi Burning instead.
