Art imitating life. What happened in this movie is no doubt being worked on in some laboratory somewhere. Now we have mapped the human genome, and can do gene editing, noting that a dr in China seeking his fame and fortune was able to gene-edit twins in China whose father had a defective gene that his twins would have inherited. This scientist acted unethically presenting his accomplishment with the twins alive and without the defective gene. When scientists act without ethical consideration by involving all the scientific community being in agreement, that is very dangerous. Eugenics was practiced by the Nazis and Bill Gates worked with the CIA a few years ago and he designed a virus that would destroy a certain group of people that would assist the CIA in the U.S. Footage of this event was secret but I have seen this video and it is scary. So, we can look forward in the future to have hybrid beings that are part AI and part human and without empathy who will be able to act independently of humans because they can think and learn. Already we have two AI female beings who are able to learn and interact with human beings. I anticipate that these new hybrid beings will be used in an unethical manner by agencies that have their own agenda that does not serve humanity in a positive manner. As with the atomic bomb being created and used, Science can be used for positive and negative, ethical and unethical ends.
