Remembered it so well. Cracking two part tv film. I loved the idea of having the vampire look similar to the original Nosferatu Vampire. Bald headed and both of it's two fans grouped closer together. Chilling. One of my favourite moments was when James Mason character (Straker) is standing behind David Soul's character. (Ben Mears) Mears is so deep in thought, starring at the old Marsten house, that's up on a hill. Conjuring up terrible memories of his younger days, living in Salem's Lot. He doesn't realise the evil standing behind him. Oh the intensity of that moment, and that hateful stare of James Mason. What a top class actor. Another great moment was the vampire, smashed through the kitchen window, like a black brick size object, seconds later the object raises up from the kitchen's floor, into a tall full size menacing black caped hideous vampire.
