Big fan of the spy genre. I was not expecting the film to be this good. Plenty of subtlety but not going as far as Tinker. Unfortunately/fortunately it’s ending reveals the stark complexity driving the competing forces that both restrain and fuel terrorism. The results are a thought provoking and perhaps hauntingly depressing reality. LeCarre offers proof again in modern terms he is the master story teller in this genre.
