The first was much better- the writing got sloppy, I thought, and it was hard to tell between the three narrators. All voices sounded the same, even with all three at different ages, plus having different backgrounds and experiences. I didn’t like how simplified it was towards a YA audience, because it is not marketed towards them. That, and I am sure that using complex words and sentence structure wouldn’t be unusual to younger adults either.
A good read just to know the televised series better- or else I would probably put it down.
