Looking at all the negative reviews, I definitely agree that neither man was right for/did right by their respective partners. I did not like Gary at all, but with Ethan, it was just clear evidence he was not with the right person. Alas, everything worked out in the end and at least one of the break ups was amicable. I still thought it was an enjoyable movie.

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I think the overall message about family was cute and very honest.

Haven't completely figured it out why, but this movie left me unsatisfied. I think the actors did their jobs well, and I've watched the 4 main leads in other works where they've also performed superbly. There was just something about this movie that left me unsatisfied. So many of the problems in this movie were created by miscommunication and what wasn't said. Abruptly ended conversations with topics never fully revisited. Then the movie attempts to end with everything wrapped up and tied with a bow, but it just didn't work for me. It didn't make sense. There was no sense of consequences and NOTHING was fully discussed incred ibly frustrating and unsatisfying. However, I give stars for the performances, cinematography, wardrobe, and overall concept. So whomever cut out the content that would have made this story more believable and whomever thought that was okay, I blame you. Could've been better.
