I have read the manga and watched the anime. I don't find this terrible what so ever and most of the people reviewing this and saying it's trash then comparing it to other animes are hilarious. I highly suggest this if you do love anime. Are some of these characters overpowered? Yes but if that's your reasoning are calling it terrible then clearly you've never watched One Punch Man. This anime does have cute moments that made me get a little teary eyes. The backstories are cute but you don't really find out about those till like season 2 or 3. I'm already ready for the fifth season. Other animes I find to be great are Black Clover, Fruits Basket, Inuyasha, Castlevania (On Nextflix), and Azur Lane.
