I actually like this movie despite the bad reviews. This is a story about a young lady escaping her issues back home, travelled to japan alone to teach English, indulging her life in alcohol and meaningless sex encounters nightly until she met a yakuza gangster which took her life towards an even greater downward spiral. Despite many reviews saying it lacked substance, I see it as a cautionary tale about living your life carelessly.. including falling in love carelessly with the wrong one despite all the red flags warning that there’s no happy ending ahead. It’s not romantic to do that, it’s just endless pain and suffering which the lead has created for herself, and for what? I think people who have lost themselves in a bad relationship before could identified with her behaviour. The ending was a good one when she finally snapped out of it, “reborn” and decided to build her life back. As long as you are still alive, there’s always a chance to try to make things right and be better.

This is a complex emotional game which will haunt you for a long time. Great game play, actions, scenario to ponder on. I love the last of us 1 too, but I really appreciate what the developers were trying to do, instead of presenting a one dimensional villain and hero! This game is excellent, Ellie character could have been built up and developed more that’s all I could say without spoiling the game. I really love this game 💖
