My problem is that this is not a Watch Dogs game. This is an Assassins Creed with Watch Dogs story line. Yes I know both AC and WD technically exist in the same gameiverse. Yes I am very aware that both of the WD games have had very similar elements to AC games. But this game feels like like they reskinned an earlier style AC game (Ezio Era combat controls) and threw it in with a hacktivist/dystopian future London story.
The atmosphere of the game is weird too. I cant tell if they're going for a darker feel than what they had in WD2 but didn't want to go as dark and bleak as the first game. Or if they just really wanted to sell the london dystopian feel and made it feel awkward in the attempt.
Overall I don't hate the game, I've enjoyed the rideable cargo drones, bagley, the permadeath mode to get rid of recruits that have the worst slangy accents evah', and the variety of recruits and playthrough options are on point with what I would expect from Ubisoft.
Just don't call it Watch Dogs just because there is hacking involved. (Btw why cant I hack bank accounts anymore??? What the hell guv?)
