Such great content coming out of Non-Hindi speaking belts. This is what cinema should be & thanks to the OTT platforms that we see such brilliance on screen. It is an anthology but Netflix presents it as a web series with 4 episodes. The stories will stay with you for a long time despite them not being anything new but the treatment & the acting will blow you away. There was not a single dull moment when you felt snapped off by the story thread. Great to see Simran after a long time. Gautham Memon is remarkable as well. The legend of Prakash Raj will haunt you for long. Watch this one as it is not to be missed.

Its a movie with many layers & Vikrant Massey does justice with his role. The movie is just about 100 mins & takes you through the journey of Shutu & his feelings. While everyone likes an upliftment story but this one is not. Being good & kind is a great trait to have but the world will take you for granted. People will use you & abuse you while still expecting you to be kind & available for them for always. The movie also touches upon anxiety/depression with references made to not able to cope with the death of a loved one. Its a great movie though must have been loved at the festival circuits but at the box office it did not do well as expectedly.

Shikara is a wonderful movie capturing the beauty & darkness of Kashmir simultaneously. The lead actors are superb & while ppl were looking forward to jingoism & artificial patriotism the movie does well to steer clear of it. Mr Chopra who himself a Kashmiri Pandit had presented a balanced approach putting the blame on politicians & businesses making money through guns. It was also good to see Priyanshu Chatterjee 👍

I watched this movie again after almost 15 years. I did not quite understand it the first time I watched it but this time watched the Tamil version which is basically a multilingual version (Tamil, Hindi, English & Bengali). It was surely way ahead of its time and is a cinema masterpiece. Watch it with an open mind to appreciate the content & the journey of Saket Ram & India. If you are a cinema student or just love cinema then do add 'Hey Ram' to your list & take out time to watch it.

Scintillating!! Ranvir Singh underplays the Mumbai rapper to perfection. His vulnerability is so real that you forget the Over the top & larger than life roles he has played. I also found the father son relationship (Vijay Raaz/Ranvir) written brilliantly so hats off to the team there. Special mention for Sidhant (MC Sher) as its a complete reversal of the role he played in Amazon series 'Inside Edge'. He completely surprises you in the movie. A mention for another underrated actor Vijay Varma. You might have seen him in some Southern Movies & he holds his own in this one for sure. Lastly, there is one actor who surprises you in every movie of her's - Alia is so perfectly cast in the role that you can't even think of anybody else in it. The movie is inspirational & entertaining as you will not feel bored even for a second. A big shout out to Zoya for making such a cult film as thats what the future generations are going to call it.

The actors in the movie portray the emotions & situations brilliantly overshadowing any flaws that the movie has. The child actor Sunny Pawar is excellent & one cannot but feel for him during the trying times. Nicole Kidman is brilliant too, especially in the scene where Saroo has a heart to heart with her before leaving for India. The cast is ably supported by top class Indian actors like Deepti Naval, Nawaz & Tanishtha all portraying their small parts splendidly. It is an emotional watch & the slow pace of the movie actually helps you to carry over your emotions & feel the pulse of the movie.
