I am a big fan of what's on the other side of that hill? This is the ultimate what's on the other side of that hill?.....Simulator I haven't been disappointed with anything that is over that hill so far, whether it be some alluring and beautiful BT event; a huge, mysterious impact crater from a cataclysmic event long past or simply a beautiful vista showing off exceptional in game visual effects prowess. The story keeps me playing and entices me to find out more about this interesting and enigmatic world, albeit from the start you'll need to accept that the very premise of the game is quite crazy. Prepare an open mind and accept any weirdness or odd character names this games story brings forth. If you do that, this game will be a delight to the senses, which will entice you back for years to come.

Soulstorm creates a feeling of nostalgia similar to first playing Oddyssey and Exxodus with while at the same time bring fresh content at a reasonable pace. Seeing your path from vantage points in a few levels and actually eventually getting there is satisfying and nice touch. I'm about 6 hours in and I'm finding the platforming and puzzles enjoyable. The odd atmospheric, surreal nature of the environments tug at neurons first fired in a developing teenage brain when playing the first two in in the late 90's and brings the same wonderful odd perceptions of a interesting world in which one continuous wants know more about. Like most good games I find it takes about an hour or so to get into. A few bugs and slightly janky movement mechanics (which you quickly get used to and doesn't really bother me anymore) are the only minor hindrances to an otherwise fantastic addition to the Oddworld series.
