I use to think that what made The Lion King was James Earl Jones. I was wrong (sorta). What made The Lion King was Jeremy Irons. The lack of a descent Scar really hurts this remake. Sarabi is far more intimidating than Scar. Aside from that and the lack of a few of my favorite scenes and emotion from all characters the visuals are absolutely breathtaking. The opening scenes brought tears to my eyes.

I personally liked the movie. The boo factors were good and not every 5 mins. The one thing I disliked about the movie were the gator attacks/carnage. They were not realistic/believable at all.
